Arlington
Arlington is a city in Texas in Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. As of 2019, its population was almost 400,000, and while that may pale in comparison to Dallas or New York, it definitely punches above its weight.
HISTORY, CARS, SPORTS AND THEME PARKS
It was originally established back in 1876, and by 1910 it had natural gas, electricity, and a phone line. Fast-forward to today, and it is now home to the University of Texas at Arlington (which does world-class research), a large General Motors Plant, AT & T stadium where the Dallas Cowboys play, Globe Life Field where the Texas Rangers play, and the Original Six Flags!
ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT
Now forget sports, GM plants, and theme parks for a minute and consider the Arts. Arlington has a very vibrant Art, Culture, and Theatre scene. It is home to Theatre Arlington, which is not just any theatre; it's one of the nation's best and largest community theatres! Arlington is also home to the Arlington Museum of Art, which features many exhibitions and offers countless art classes and workshops.
