If you're up for a stroll, the Japanese garden will meet your needs. This section of the gardens was established in 1973 and takes you on winding paths around ponds and through the landscapes. Over 7.5 acres are filled with Japanese sakura or cherry blossom trees, maples and magnolias. Scenic bamboo bridges also provide you with great photo opportunities.
The native Texas Boardwalk places great emphasis on education and takes you on a raised path through the gardens. It provides activities that kids can do along the journey and each one teaches them about native plants in Texas. There are also several things for them to climb on, so they will be kept active.
